The team at the National Institution for Human Rights in Libya held its fourth meeting of 2025 on the morning of Monday, September 8, at the Institution’s headquarters in Tripoli. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Najia Al-Atraq, Director of the Legal Affairs Office, with the attendance of the Institution’s President Mr. Ahmed Hamza, as well as the Directors of the International Relations and Cooperation Office, the Programs and Training Office, along with the Heads of the Complaints and Reports Department, the Fact-Finding, Monitoring and Documentation Department, the Follow-up and Information Department, and the officer responsible for the Complaints and Reports System at the Institution.

The meeting addressed the follow-up on the implementation of the internal work plan and programs, the evaluation of progress in the electronic archiving system, and the digital transformation of the complaints and reports mechanism. The general report covering the years 2022–2025, recently completed by the Complaints, Reports, Documentation, Information, and Follow-up Department, was also reviewed.

Additionally, the meeting approved a program for a delegation from the National Institution for Human Rights in Libya to visit a number of international mechanisms in the coming period, within the framework of the Institution’s efforts to strengthen cooperation frameworks with these mechanisms. The goal is to contribute to ending the cycle of impunity, reinforce the rule of law, support the rights of victims, survivors, and affected persons, and protect human rights.
